About Stewarts Buses

Moving people. Connecting communities. Carrying three generations of pride.

Stewarts Buses is a proud Māori-owned, third-generation passenger transport company dedicated to getting people where they need to go safely, reliably, and with care.

From school bus services to private charters and group travel, we provide dependable transport for the journeys that matter - whether it is the daily trip to school, a special event, a community outing, or a group adventure across Aotearoa.

Our three generations of experience have shaped the way we do business. We understand that transporting people is about more than getting from one place to another. It is about trust, responsibility, and making sure every passenger feels looked after along the way.

Our story

Stewarts Buses grew from a commitment to education for the large whanau(family) of Nuku and Tangiaranui Stewart

and a desire to serve people. As a third-generation Māori-owned company, our knowledge and values have been built through generations of hands-on experience, strong relationships, and pride in doing the job properly.

Today, we continue that legacy while looking ahead. Our ambition is to grow Stewarts Buses beyond our local area and bring our trusted transport services to more schools, organisations, families, and groups throughout the wider community and across Aotearoa.

What we do

We offer flexible bus services for a wide range of needs, including:

- Custom bus hire - a transport solution tailored to your plans, group size, destination, and schedule.
